Medical thesis in experimental endocrinology at the University of Munich.

Research fellow at the Metabolic Research Unit
(Prof. P.H. Forsham), Department of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco.

1970-1980:
Staff member at the Department of Medicine, University of Munich.

1974:
Marius-Tausk-Prize of the German Society of Endocrinology.

1979:
Guest physician at the Hôpital de la Pitié in Paris, Department of Endocrinology (3 months).

1980:
IAEA-consultant at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, University of Chiang Mai, Thailand (2 months).

1980:
Professor of Medicine, head of the Neuroendocrine Unit at the University of Munich.
